Named for a towering & enlightened Chief, Claremore holds stories of the Osage, the Cherokee and Cowboy alike. We have the world's largest Totem Pole and the romance of America's Greatest Road, Route 66.
Our storytellers like Will Rogers shared our humor with the world, and made everyone fall in love with Oklahoma. We are a community of Museums, from the Will Rogers Memorial adorning the hill, to the turrets of the Belvidere Mansion.
We celebrate our town full of warm offerings and old-fashioned finds. From delicious Hammett House to tasty tea rooms, Claremore truly has a vibrant heart.
We are a place that still knows what communities are, where we treat neighbors like family and visitors like neighbors. We invite you to discover the place we call home.
The Belvidere, a restored 1907 Victorian-era mansion on the National Registry of Historic Places, is open for self-guided tours, gift shopping, and special events.

The World's Largest Totem Pole has to be one of the most impressive Route 66 icons to visit. It was the creative genius of Ed Galloway, who developed the park as a monument to the Native American. The centerpiece of the nine-acre park, the Totem Pole, rises from the back of an enormous turtle. The park also includes Galloway's eleven-sided Fiddle House that houses his hand-carved fiddles.
